Producer: Mabel Moreno |
Aromas of vanilla and sweetness like fresh dark brown sugar. Pronounced citrus acidity. Becomes sweetly floral as it cools. Via Collaborative Coffee Source: Mabel Moreno is a a third generation coffee grower, son of Daniel Moreno, and a member of the large Moreno family of producers. He purchased the lot that inherited part of La Sierra in 2000, and planted coffee on it in 2004. Sadly the low price of coffee in that era forced Mabel to abandon coffee farming, and those trees died. In 2014 he decided to return to the finca and replanted trees, with a mission to produce specialty coffee. From the Producer: “Despite the difficulties we have managed to build a finca, through great effort and with thanks to my daughters who have worked with me on the farm. I thank those who have bought my coffee and I hope we can continue with this good business relationship.” |
