Finca Limoncillo is a small farm in La Dalia Nicaragua, part of a larger group of farms known as Fincas Mierisch. We're always excited about direct trade coffees because, without the middle-man, the producers are able to negotiate a better price for their product. We bought two Pacamaras from Limoncillo this year, both a red and yellow varietal, and we find it's particularly interesting to compare the two knowing that the primary difference between them is the coffee varietal (or cultivar) itself. Like different kinds of apples, coffee varietals have different total yields, have different flavors, require different growing practices, and in this case, two different beautiful cups of coffee.

Red Pacamara is buttery and very sweet with flavors like blackberry jam and wildflower honey.
