Pump up the jammzzz 2:
Back in the Habit
A very complicated and intimidating brew method on its face. With a few pointers though it can become your single cup bff. We're only going to do the regular method, but if you fancy a challenge look up the "inverted" style >:)
Step One: Get some hot water ready.
Step Two: Rinse and repeat. Coffee is a food product, and as such needs to be prepared like a food product. That means keeping your brew buddies clean! Rinse them! It's crazy how much of a difference this makes. Preheat the rubber stopper with your heated water and wet the paper filter in the filter cap. Fasten the filter holder and place the Aeropress on top of a sturdy cup on an even surface without the plunger inserted.
Step Three: Dose and Grind. Aeropress only requires a small amount off coffee compared to other brew methods. Anywhere from 17 grams to 24 grams, so roughly three nice spoonfuls of beans. Grind on a finer setting too, about a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Step Four: Pour the water to about halfway. Bloom it up. Stir using the provided stir stick, or use a classic spoon. Let it sit for 30 seconds.
Step Five: Final Pour and Press. After 30 seconds fill up to about half an inch from the top, allowing room for the plunger. Let it brew for 1 minute and 30 seconds before putting the plunger and place and sllooowwwwlllyyy pressing into the cup.
Step Six: Sip it up! Drink that bad boi and go out and live your best life!
